When we say ranch house many of us think of faraway farm house and few would think of the types of тhе ranch houses and how creative they can be.

In most cases it has three levels. The first one includes living area with the kitchen and living room. The second one is the stairs that leads to the bedroom and other living space on the ceiling.

1. Suburban Ranch

It is the most minimal of all types. As the name says, these houses are built in the suburbia during the World War II. Most of them are on one level and the basement in there more than some ceiling rooms. The open space is very common for that type.

2. Storybrook Ranch

It is ideal for people who loved fairytales it is very creative and the first one are build in the 1930s. They replace the Spanish influence of California Ranch houses. It is common for the type that different materials are used; other things are the low-pitched and steep roofs. The windows are tall and there are some decorative chimneys.

3. Raised Ranch

In most case this type is really “raised” as there are two stores. In most cases stairs welcome you when you come in and lead to the living quarters. Downstairs is the garage if there is any and the basement.

4. Split-level Ranch

This type of ranch house is a combination between Suburban Ranch and Raised ranch, the main idea of the design is to be practical not the beauty of the building. The stairs lead up to the bedroom and the basement area when go down.

No matter what style of Ranch House one can prefer, it is an ideal home for those who like the cozy but practical homes.
