Art Dec architecture is one of the most recognizable styles and as we say the movement is no more, there are building all around the world to remind us the golden days of this type of architecture.

3. New India Assurance Building, Mumbai, India
The Art Deco style is not seen only in the New World, this building is younger than Chrysler Building with some 6 years: it was 1936 when it was finished. The reinforced building has unique facade but still is faithful to the Art Deco design. Some called it “Bombay deco” or “domestic art deco”.

4. Fairmont Pease Hotel Shanghai, China
As we are in Asia, we should appreciate this Shanghai hotel, the now well-known mega polis, was no other than a small town just as New York some centuries ago. Furthermore, Shanghai was in the middle a mix of cultures for years and it was ruled by different systems and welcomed many foreign elements. This hotel was built in 1929 by an English businessman named Victor Sassoon. Another good example of Art Deco.

5. Palais de Chaillot Paris, France
This interesting building having the style of Art Deco is in the Trocadero Gardens, just across the river Seine. It was made for the 1937 International Exhibition of Arts in the French capital. There is the Theatre national de Chaillot in it and the geometric flooring and different colored murals made it one of the great examples of Art Deco in Europe.
These buildings are not only architecture’s wealth, they are the history we can touch and feel, most of them will be a century old sooner but we hope they last for many years in future to remind us the styles and design that were so unique and undying we appreciate it even now.
