9 strange places in Bulgaria that you won’t find in the guidebooks – part one

1. Tsar Asen Mine

Most mines from the communist regime in Bulgaria are abandoned and in those places nature took her control over it that is the reason of creating such a magical place. Like there is a pond made by fallen asteroid. It is neat Pazardhik town but every tourist should have in mind that he/she shouldn’t drink water from water sources nearby.

2. Temple-well in Garlo village

It’s unique ancient find that was found the 70s by professor Dimitrina Mitova-Johnova. It is near Breznik town and the village of Garlo. The thing that is very interesting is the highly engineering of the pace. It is made only by stones without a substance to connect them and there is no roof. However, it has survived so many centuries as the only damaging is made on the vault maybe after an earthquake. The scientists assume it was used for a temple or a place to stargazing. According to its founder temples like these are found in ancient people of Sardinia Island.

3. The tunnel Lyubovishte-Rozhen

Few people know about this small village. The only way to see it is by beat off from Rozhen Monastery. If you use this tunnel, it will lead you to the village. Like a magical door.

4. Sunny door, Starosel village

The place is famous with its megaliths. They are stone figures that ancient people used for pagan rituals. Its form reminded the ancient Thracians that it is a door for the Other world. The both big stones forms two doors but nobody know how it was made. Did humans build it or nature itself?

A new version told a story of a rebel girl who wanted to marry the love of her life but the angry parents cursed the girl and the boy to become stone figures.
